“The Fabulous Fate of Amélie Poulain” is the original title of my favorite movie ever since I saw it. Why do I like it so much? Because I feel super identified with the character, who is very innocent, she has illusion to change the world, to make the world a little better and it is impossible for her to accept the bad things that happen in the world.
She is like a little angel who reminds me of the best part of me and I think she inspires me to work on the best version of each of us.
I find Amélie especially tender, and the love story in the middle of the film - although it's not the main part of the film - is also very nice.
For many, many years I didn't want to see “The Fabulous Fate of Amélie Poulain” again so as not to lose what I felt the first time I saw it. I thought that re-watching it again would change a little bit the feeling it left me with initially.
As you can see, this collection is inspired by her and to make it I had to watch the movie again to look at the details and everything I would like to capture. Fortunately, nothing has changed. I still like it very much.
The result of this process is the "Destino" collection, in which I have versioned the character -with the kind of illustration I like to do-, to give my vision of Amelie.
I didn't want to call the collection Amelie, and I liked the word “destiny” because it gives much more play. I think a character has been born who has her own identity and who pushes us to create our own future and not leave us in the hands of chance.
I hope "Destino" rescues your innocence and pushes you to be even better.

“El fabuloso destino de Amélie Poulain” es el título original de mi peli preferida desde que la vi. ¿Por qué me gusta tanto? Porque me siento súper identificada con el personaje, que es muy inocente, tiene ilusión de cambiar el mundo, de hacer el mundo un poco mejor y le resulta imposible aceptar las cosas malas que pasan en el mundo.
Es como un angelito que me recuerda la mejor parte de mí y creo que inspira a trabajar en la mejor versión de cada uno.
Como puedes apreciar, esta colección está inspirada en ella.
No quería llamar Amelie a la colección, y me gustó la palabra “destino” porque da muchísimo más juego. Creo que ha nacido un personaje que tiene su propia identidad y que nos empuja a crear nuestro propio futuro y no dejarnos en manos del azar.
El resultado de este proceso es la colección “Destino”, en la que he intentado plasmar todo lo bueno que encuentro en esta película, bondad, ternura, fraternidad… y además este nuevo personaje que se suma a la familia Ohana, que es mi versión de Amelie.
